I've been doing studies of all your work for the past few weeks, but man you are so good I can't even imagine approaching this level.
These remind me of frazetta also.

Did they reprint the Loomis Books? My Grandfather has an original.
I've been waiting years for a publisher to reprint them. They're a fantastic resource that shouldn't be allowed to fade away.

It is certainly paid off, if for nothing else as to spark a new burst of creativity. You are already a fantastic artist, as can be seen here.

Lovely stuff. That Loomis book has been on my 'to buy' list for about three months. Curiously, I did a very similar type of sketch page myself just yesterday. Just faces, but very similar in layout. Must upload it at some point.

Is Andrew Loomis' book worth purchasing? I'd love to brush up on my figure drawings and expressions. I bought "Drawing People: How to Portray the Clothed Figure" by Barbara Bradley and it's been very helpful but I'd like to look for more study guides. I love the life and movement in your characters and I wish to emulate that in my own figures.

If you like commercial vintage illustration itΒ΄s definitely worth it.
I found it very helpful, but donΒ΄t expect to learn how to draw ugly or old people...
