Finished this Christmas Eve, but I've been a little busy since then. Went to New Brunswick on Boxing Day to see my boyfriend for the first time in four months, and just got back on Sunday. Then I confirmed registration for fall semester yesterday and started classes today. Needless to say, life has been hectic.

Anyways, this is Lucy, my friend's warmblood X quarter horse that killed herself this fall. I did it for her as her birthday/Christmas present. All done in graphite, and way too many fricking hours. I didn't realise how difficult it would be to make a realistic red roan in pencil until this. Never happening again. Hopefully this jump starts my return to the art world though, since it's no longer being forced on me through college art classes. Dropping it was the best decision I made this semester!
