Description
I think it would be so cool if our flag really looked like this. America was founded on the laws of the Bible and Christianity was the main religion. That's why America prospered as much as it did. A tribute to both Jesus and the country that supported him. Happy 4th of July everyone.Made in Illustrator.

US Constitution: First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Let me also point out the "Separation of Church and State" concept, developed by Thomas Jefferson, where the US government has no say in what religion should be practiced, as the immigrants from Great Britain established the original 13 colonies to be able to practice any religion freely without persecution. Yes, the British colonists were primarily Christian. But that does not mean that Christianity was the main religion of the 13 colonies.
So please, do some historical research next time before stating misconceived notions. Otherwise, your info will be terribly inaccurate.

Actually the United States was founded to get away from religion in the United Kingdom.
Also if you look at the Declaration of Independence you'll notice the amendments proving that as well.

Partly, but also so others, not in the church of england could worship god whatever way they pleased because people like the puritans WERE being persecuted.

America was founded on the laws of the Bible and Christianity was the main religion.
βReligious institutions that use government power in support of themselves and force their views on persons of other faiths, or of no faith, undermine all our civil rights. Moreover, state support of an established religion tends to make the clergy unresponsive to their own people, and leads to corruption within religion itself. Erecting the 'wall of separation between church and state,' therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society.β
β Thomas Jefferson
Not everyone has to believe in your religion. Not everyone has to believe in a religion. And this nation was NOT founded on Christian values, as the quote above highlights.

Also, just to point out - the only true Americans (by which I mean people who have always lived in America and have not immigrated into the country at some point in their family history) are Native Americans. So, in reality, this should have feathers instead of crosses.

You didn't even make the flag correctly.
I'm not even American and I know the horizontal red lines don't touch the bottom of the blue square. At the bottom of the blue square it's white then red.

True USA Flag: USA canβt make their own policy without the approval of Israel. I am sure one day under the pressure of Israel, US government will change its flag design with star of David.

The American empire will collapse soon. It is the result of our Constitution be neglected to a state of obscurity. Ignoring The Bible especially won't help. One day, we will all live together in God's Kingdom! Forever.

You should look up the Treaty of Tripoli. I think you'll be pretty surprised by what it says.
Also the First Amendment.
Perhaps the writings of Thomas Jefferson, too.

No, I'm pretty sure most of America would say no to this flag all because they don't want to offened anyone. But as it says in the Bible, I will put God before anyone else so if it offends them, then I am sorry but God comes first in my book.

That would be so cool!! What I think is ironic is that the Atheists wouldn't let this happen, though they say the pledge of allegiance (One nation, under God), say Bless you (short for God Bless You), say Goodbye (short for God be with you), sing Lady Gaga's Born This Way ("I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes..."), and some say Thank God when they're relieved....
we all worship The Lord in the US, on purpose or not

Seconding Hoshi-Ryu on this, America is a melding pot of cultures and religions. While Christianity permeates this country as it was brought over by the colonists from a society rules by a 'divine' monarchy, it's rather rude to assume that everyone's religion is your own.

Im sorry I wasnt trying to, I was just pointing out how a lot of atheists try to avoid religion at all costs but can't.

America is full of so many different religions, ideas, thoughts, and cultures. To ignore so much of that, is to ignore what America really is.
When I say the pledge, I don't say under god. (Not that I say it anymore)
I say Gesundheit "good health" when someone sneezes.
Nobody "worships" someone not on purpose, if someone "accidentally" does, it's called brainwashing.
And when I do say god or Jesus, it tends to be taking their "name in vain".
I'm not trying to be rude, I just wanted to let you know that the argument is a little flawed. I'm not trying to bash you. I use Christan ideas and thoughts just as much as Buddhist, Hindu, Wiccan and Islamic ideas, yet I'm an atheist.
I guess my point in all of this is remember that not everyone follows your thoughts, but peace be with all. I think on a basic level, everyone is out to do and find good, regardless of how they practice it.

I dunno how old you are but I was taught in public school that it was built off of the christians morals and rules. Ever hear of the witch hunts? Not saying that I agreed with the radical rules the implamented back then but people where simple back then and didn't understand everything about the bible. I may not be able to quote anyone but you can't either because you weren't there and for all you know those quotes could have been made up by someone wanting to erase christian roots.

Because public schools are the most reliable source of information--especially when compared to college level American History.
That's why I say people relied on the bible back then, as many still do today. While death isn't a looming threat today for some as it was back then, many people were and are scared of dying and the idea that there is no 'after' when they've been shoved in the ground is terrifying. Religion is a way of coping for some people--the church just realized that fear could also be used as a means to herd the masses (many couldn't read, and thus whatever the priest/bishop/man of faith said was taken at heart by people because they had no fucking clue what was in that old book). Why do you think people fight religion entering the state these days? If it was actually written into the declaration it wouldn't be such a big deal.
Ever hear of surviving documents? Letters, bills, etc that have actually survived over the years and kept and studying by historians? Yeah, that's where those quotes come from. Bibles are a good example of this since you can find old ones used by the European churches on display in some museums. Though, on that note, for all you and I know, the bible could be complete jack seeing as it was written, translated, and rewritten so many times by man, who errs in his way oh so often.
Here's a bit of 'homework' for you, find me a quote that supports Christianity in the original documents written by our forefathers. And no, 'one nation, under god' doesn't count, as the 'under god' part wasn't added to the Pledge of Allegiance until 1954.

Well I can't quote anything but I can tell you what my 60 year old grandmother learnd. She learned that people originally came to America because the religion of christianity was persacuted where they lived and so they came here for religous freedom. I dunno how old you are but I would believe a 60 year old person over someone who is younger any day because back then people didn't try to erase what really happened from our history just because they didn't believe in God.
