Description

This is a kiriban gift sketch for mechanicalvalkyrie . I was painting her in my new Paintsorm Studio. I want to boost up my sketching\posing skills, also I have a lot troubles with anatomy and speed, so I need more sketchy thing to paint!

What do you think about this? Changes in style was mostly because of a new software. I've been using Photoshop for ten years, so it is hard to me to get used to new program. Also the engine of brushes differs from the Photoshop and till now I don't completely understand how it works and how to achieve the effects I want.

love her eyes, looks cool) And I would be too lazy to learn how to work in a new program. You're great

I'm so grateful for your comment!

Actually I'm a very lazy person too, but this soft looks so much f*cking promising.. IDK... I must master it for the future of my art LOL! But still, it is so complicated to do

Thanks a lot! She is really amazing <3. I really like the hair and her expression. The earring is very pretty, too.

Btw, how is Paintsorm Studio? Is it good? I only tried Ps and Sai so far

Thanks a lot. I was afraid that you wouldn´t like her or that ¨she doesn´t look like in your imagination¨.

As for Paintstorm, it is weird. Very promising application with a lots of useful tool directly for PAINTING, but after using Ps for almost 10 years, 3 days in PaintStorm is definitely not enough for understanding. PaintStorm has different brush realization and it is still not predictable for me. Also I can´t figure out how to create some brushes which I adore in Ps...

But color picking is amazing, auto generation of color scheme is awesome too and palette blending. On the other hand some key bindings are different, and some are impossible to change.

As you may noticed, this work wad done mostly with round brush and has no ¨painterly¨ feel as my elder ones. This is because I haven´t figured out how to make my own brushes and I didn´t like the preinstalled.

All in all, program is worth of attention. It has a trial period with full abilities but restricted in time, you may try it yourself.

No worries, she turned out really good

I might give it a try, but as someone who uses a lot of keybinds (and is thrown off if they are not where I'm used to - MediBang Paint annoyed me a lot with this) not being able to change them would be a big turn-off for me. But the colour scheme thing does sound good

I should say that those keybinds that you are using with keyboard only are completely changeable. Something weird id going only with ones related to my wacom tablet only. For example, I have to buttons on the stylus aaand they are not working as it was in photoshop. The problem in with the moving of canvas and resizing the size of the brush. In Ps you push alt + upper stylus button and you slightly hover stylus over your tablet (without touching) to resize the brush. In Paintsorm this doesn´t work, the closest I could do was to alt+upp stylus btn+dragging, but sometimes this additionally picks a new color while I drag the stylus.
