I found out recently that this ferry has been out of service, for more than a year now, as there's no substitute for the captain that passed away.With this in mind I removed all signs of life and deleted some bits - there's an empty "command room" and you might have a hard time finding out how travelers get on the boat.
It was cold while I painted most of this on location, and yes, I'm a fan of E. Hopper work.
