Description

Yes, that's right everypony! Now you too can have your very own filly Rara!
Sorry it took so long. I had to figure out some stuff. And I'm still not too sure of everything either,
So if you find anything wrong with the model or any of the friendship scout models, please tell me.
And yes it is the friendship scout clothes and accessories from the episode.

*Note: There is a little bit of a clipping issue with the shirt.
I can't really do anything about it, or haven't figured out a way to fix it.
**Note: Only filly Rara and the clothes (hat,shirt,scarf/bandana,etc...) are included.

                      DL to the right                  --------->              - - - - - - - - >               ------------->

Details about the models:

The bandana/scarf has a flex for moving the ring up and down.

Everything is rigged correctly and has correct measurements.
(Except for the afore mentioned shirt clipping issue)

The cap (seen above) has a separate bodygroup for a nametag/nameplate thing,
and a second skin to go along with it. The cap was created to fit most mane types.
But if the mane is bigger/covers it/clips through it, then just move the cap to the correct
position (In Sfm. For Gmod, use the bone merge tool for everything except for the cap)

Everything has been optimized to work correctly for both Sfm and Gmod.

Everything is labeled as filly_scout, and VN_filly_rara.

The filly Rara model has 2 skins like most of the fillies, one with cutie mark,
    one without.

The filly Rara model does NOT come with the scout assets as bodygroups.
If you want an oc or something with them as bodygroups just ask, and I'll
go ahead and do it for you. (But it won't include the ring moving flex)

 Credits:

for the idea and custom friendship
scout models.
for the original filly base.
for the mane, tail, and textures.
And of course Hasbro, DHX, and Lauren Faust.
Thanks guys!

Looking beautiful, all we get to see now is the SFM version of her song.

If someone makes it! I'd love to see that. Or make it. Unfortunately my skills aren't up to that point yet.

Me neither, I found SFM quite hard to animate, I'm trained with 2D, not 3D.

I'm self-trained in 3D! XD
But SFM isn't too hard to animate in, when you get the hang of it.

The only thing that I can't do and then stop is the animation part, I can play as the character as in playing the TF2 game, but sadly, animate the characters with their parts and move them.... no. Very damn hard.

But the only thing I can do is to pose them, useful for DAZ Studio some day.

lol that's pretty much all you do. Load in the models, and do pose to pose, or you can load in other model animations made by the community, to help you. And if you're having a hard time with the posing part, they do have the IK rig available for such a reason.

Not sure what DAZ Studio is, but I'm assuming it's a posing program, so I guess so.

Yeah, been there, no how hard it is and I gave up.

Sorry to say that I'm a Button Mash, a gamer, so it's less likely I'll do any SFM deviations.

DAZ Studio is an alternate software for 3D posing, animation is also possible, but not modeling. You can google around for information.

Never give up on something if you know you love it. But if you don't love it, then yeah I guess you could.

Lol I know Button. And I'm a pretty big gamer myself, and yet also pretty good with sfm and quite recently, 3D
modeling. But I take it you're more comfortable with gmod am I right?

So it's kinda like mmd or xnalara then right? Kinda like I thought.

Never use Gmod though, must buy in order to download the models, otherwise, forget about it. Piracy is what I specialize at.

lol isn't gmod free now tho?

Idk, I bought mine a while back. And it's definitely fun. It's a great sandbox game, and the best part is all the custom content!
I'd play it more, but I work with sfm a lot. And I do have a life outside of this.
(And arrrrgg matey!)

No, according to the Steam page, it's $9.99, not free.

Whatever stuff I want to download from here, garrysmods.org/ , they said my account must be legit as well as the software registration, without those verifications, I'm NOT allowed to download anything. Last time I have to get someone to download some of the stuff for me just to use it in SFM, Toothless the Dragon especially, well, it's the 1st version. Favor or piracy, but still, it's not very fair to block people whether we own Gmod or not, and if they detect that I'm using pirated, they'll ban me.

Yeah, I'm already ok with SFM so I should know some basic posing, I've been trained in my college to use 3D software, it was Lightwave  (Yeah, a sucky Windows NT-era and outdated UI software), so I should know some basics.

Lol wow. Yeah I figured it costs on Steam, but isn't it free on the actual Garry's Mod webpage? And you can always check the facepunch forums for the actual models, that usually have a lot posted there and a lot of them have other sites as the download. And have you tried using the workshop page? Even if you don't have gmod, doesn't it let you subscribe to the file in case if you get it later? Then if you really want the model and stuff, then you could just decompile it and put it into sfm right? I know it doesn't always decompile right, but it's worth a shot right?

And are you saying you don't use a legit email/login?

And how do you not have $10 for gmod? You obviously had enough to go to college. And I'm positive college costs way more than $10! XD

Yeah it's good to have 3D experience when using sfm. Even with something like Lightwave (Which I've never used. But isn't it used for obj files mostly?) See, before using sfm I had never used any 3D animation programs before. But I eventually got used to it. It definitely helps if you have some animating background. Mine was flash and pivot. So even tho they weren't 3D, the knowledge kinda transferred over. And besides, I'm sure you know how joints bend correctly right?

Thanks but still no thanks, I already got a handful to use it.

They're enforcing the rules, so they will find ways to detect me. Though I cannot be sure, this threat like that made me gave up thinking about Gmod, so I moved on to SFM.

Yeah, but I'm from Asia which the currency there is weaker than US. It's more expensive to buy Gmod than paying it in UK Pounds, which looks cheap to them.

Still no, Lightwave sucks. Good at modeling but sucks at its UI, so many years they still never change, it still looks like they're stuck in the Stone Age of Windows.

Okay. Well, best of luck then!

Sad you can't get gmod, but I guess if you don't really want it anyway, then it doesn't really matter too much.

That's cool, I didn't know you were from Asia. Yeah, currency conversion is weird sometimes.

Yeah, like I said before, never worked with Lightwave, but if it's really what you say, I may not want to.

Again, best of luck to you, and try to do as best as you can with what you can.
