Commissioned from anonymous.Helen Lovejoy learns that you can only get away with making rude and condescending remarks for so long before someone calls you out for it.
And by call you out, I mean send you to the dentist!
Hopefully, Helen will learn her lesson. If not, at least she allowed Ruth to provide a good lesson to Jessica and Allie.

As stated, Helen Lovejoy are the kind of people I really despise: people who see God, not as a source of inspiration, but an imaginary friend they can pin anything on.
Helen Lovejoy is supposed to be a guiding light for others. But she behaves like a nasty bat half of the time.

That's the reason I'm not fond of Helen: The gossiping about others, and the snide remarks. Nice to see her getting her comeuppance. And from Ruth no less!

Yeah, Helen Lovejoy is a brilliant representative of a segment of American society I consider to be particularly odious: the Culture Warrior. The people who convinced millions of Americans that the greatest threats to society are abortion and naughty words in media, but who ignore actual problems like poverty and government corruption.
When I commissioned this, I imagined that Ruth Powers would be a really good foil to Helen.
Ruth reflects a more modern woman: divorced, employed, and rough-around-the-edges. Despite this, however, Ruth a tolerant person, a good parent, and a good friend to those who know her.
Helen, by contrast, is a more traditional, conservative woman with "wholesome" sensibilities. But she is judgmental, pampered, and. And despite being the one who screams "think of the children", she herself is a poor parent, as demonstrated by Jessica being more ill-behaved then BART.
As I write my fanfic series, I intend to explore this enmity.
