sometimes i feel different - different than all the others - alone - isolated.i feel like having a spikey skin, something that keeps the others away from me...
tech:
it's double layer glue band attached to tacks.
each sticked onto my skin.
external flash with extension cable.
manually triggered.

Good stuff man. I would've used nails or something a little more 'vicious' looking than pintacks, but hey, it makes no difference. It's a good picture, well pulled off. Good use of negative space, which I always can appreciate.

isolated? do you actually feel this way? deviant art is funny like this, i'm sure that there are people here who see every new photo that you come out with, and without ever having spoken with you, feel closer to you, feel that they know you better than they do many of their own friends. you're photography is intriguing, as i imagine the man behind it all is. also, i know that you have a couple of friends on deviant art that share similar tallent, and i'm guessing, similar sentiment. isolated? we all sometimes feel isolated, but we forget that sometimes it must be our duty to reach out to others.
sorry for the ramble... it just intrigues me when people seem inverted, or reflect it in their art... like i can help.
the picture, meanwhile, is neat. you don't necessarily look unhappy, more like you're afraid that the pins are going to start falling off it you move at all.

i really feel comfortable here on DA and of course i have friends, i can share moments and experiences. so i don't feel lonely at the moment, but this deviation is dedicated for exactely these little moments when it strucks you and you think: "hey where is everybody?" .
but you're right this picture shows another side of me, which is the opposite of my other happy, openminded and active half.
you don't have to be worried tough. the next "sunny" shot will be deviated soon!!
