Nice work! I think Dani was corrupted with Techno Virus in the alternate timeline where Thoth Amon took over New York. But Dr. Strange and Magik used their combined powers to reverse all the damage the Stygian wizard did to the Avengers and Xmen.

Oh, I checked again when I realized later I probably got that wrong!
It was Storm/Ororo that got corrupted by The Transmode Virus in that issue. I know Dani was too in some issue, I'll keep looking. It's gonna drive me nuts

Mirage's main power is the ability to create illusions. However she learned techniques where she can actually create objects with her powers. However it's inconsistently written whether she has that power or not. Then she got some power where she created arrows and shot them from her bow. Couldn't she have created a machine gun? I know the native warrior is an exciting idea, but Dani's not from Native Americans of the Old West. I always found her character one later writers didn't really want to touch, and the later artists were always trying to make her much more "White Girl Pretty" than her creators intended.

I think a good reason why she did not create a machine gun is that she is trained in archery but not in machine gun combat.
B.t.w. back when they were in Asgard so did Dani become some kind of Valkyrie, do anybody know if there have been any stories about the conflict that can come from that contra her pride as a Cheyenne?

Actually in the comic cannon, she actually became initially a zealous Valkyrie, then when she saw she could actually see that people where going to die because of her Norse powers, she actually did turn to her Native American Mystical knowledge to try to fight Death to save her friend. It really disturbed her when she saw later that all her friends and herself were going to die, and when she realized it was the Beyonder that was going to kill her friends, she tried to run away rather than save them but the Beyonder killed her and them. Later they were resurrected by the Beyonder to fight the Avengers, and were free from his control afterwards. However her shame from the incident broke her desire to really be an Xman, though she continued to go to Xavier's school. And like I said, later writers didn't like dealing with this character, though she actually did gain the power later to manifest her illusions into reality, but after New Mutants became X-Force, she kinda faded into retirement.
I know so much because I am writing a fanfiction about this incident in part, as I am writing a fan script where the New Mutants become Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where Xmen where a SHIELD asset that secretly preceded the Avengers team..
