A quick little birthday pic for my sister, who turns 24 today! Happy Birthday, Sis!!
She recently adopted a young blue-eyed ball python and named him Arthas ... so naturally this happened. It looked far more badass in my head, but I had a deadline.

He's got scales, but there was a deadline and there's no way I'm painting all those scales by hand.

He's pink and a bit wrinkly in the drawing, so I thought he might be scaleless. For some reason, some keepers like scaleless snakes. I would imagine they're even higher maintenance than hairless cats. Shedding must be difficult without the traction scales provide when rubbing. And if a snake can't shed properly, it eventually goes blind and gets infections. Ball pythons being a truly domesticated species, they probably depend more on human intervention than other species of snake, so at least getting them to cooperate when caring for them shouldn't be too difficult.
