Robin Darling | The Aviary | WarlockA reference for the bird! [At least a new one--he's changed a lot since I first drew him!]
This is Robin, my gloomy warlock boy. He's actually 27, but I imagine him like a puppy who's been kicked around too many times. He's one of my main characters, which means that I find him really, really hard to draw for some reason.

+ Spending time with his mushy & friends

Dislikes:
- Crowded spaces
- Being pushed out of his comfort zone (which is a really small zone, actually)
- The beach
He wears 19th century clothing and refuses to wear less clothing even in very hot weather. He sometimes wears more modern suit-shirts.

I fell off a cliff when I was 10 and fractured a vertebrae in my spine. I have spinal arthritis, chronic back pain and sciatica (lower back pain that sends shooting pain through the entire right leg and foot) ; o ; i have suck posture so this brace thing would be great! lmao!

I did have one question though--does he live in the modern day and choose to wear historical clothes, or does he live in another time period?

You know, that is a really good question! In the world he lives in, a whole bunch of eras are smushed together. So it's generally not considered strange to wear clothes from other historical eras, although in some more liberal areas I think people would give him weird looks. At the same time though, Robin just got internet and a TV, so...it's like the technology exists, but he just didn't bother to use it. It's kind of complicated haha D: I'm sorry I'm bad at explaining things..

Hm! Yes and no--he's used to using magic for a lot of things, but he's not good at general, everyday magic. He usually messes the spells up. He's only good at dark magic, unfortunately.

There are clashes between magic/non-magic users, yep. Moreso in some cities than others. But I have nothing written down prose-wise. ;u;

Mostly, the non-magic users in more intolerant regions look down on magic-users, and if they're feeling super extreme, they try to burn the magic-users' houses and chase them out of town. 8D

They are mostly just acquaintances, as Robin doesn't make friends easily. :> But he considers one or two his friends.

Iiiiit's done!!!! I'm so happy! I love Robin! ouo Ahh, I just love that pose where he's summoning a demon. So much POWAH. And his surprised face is so cute. I like how he's shown in different outfits too, or different layers. Yay, so happy.
