When I saw this, I kept thinking about Stephen Gammel's work; he does the illustration for the children's book "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark". That book has been banned in schools because the illustrations were too disturbing.

This is absolutely beautiful and remniscent of classic horror stories. You should be very proud!

Everything works for this piece. It most certainly has a morbid feeling to it that is built upon your choice of color and texture. It certainly would not have the same feeling if you chose black and white, but instead the sepia tone creates a melencholy and depressing old-as-time feeling.

Wonderful work. I certainly love the church as the background. How Ironic.

mhh irgendwie cool aber auch komisch .. ich finde es ist zu sehr überlagert mit texturen etc wirkt sehr unscharf . allgemein ist das bild sehr verschwommen und die übergänge von den elementen sind sehr "weich" . An manchen stellen ist das ok aber an manchen zu viel.
