Mommy, Mommy, my dolly's sick!So a little over 2 weeks ago, I ordered two new contact lenses from 9mmsfx, and today, they arrived! Boy, when I got home, and saw that package leaned up against the house, I flipped out. I was so excited.
This is the blind eye lens. I'll be showing you guys the other one this weekend. It's beautiful.

I really like this. The detail in the gums and where your cheek is "broken" with the depth; its really amazing. It actually looks real, though around your eyebrows, you still can see where its not blended in fully. But other than the eyebrows, it looks perfect! Really detailed and it shows that you took your time and effort in making this as awesome as it is.

Congrats' on getting the new contact it's amazing! I love how you did the tear tracks, I'm not to sure about the coloring on the teeth and gums (Looks a bit...washed out) but if you put down the pale base first it's totally understandable. Overall a great piece!

Don't you just love blind lens! they make for an awesome effect I love the pair that I got this past october for the haunt I work at.

Really, you wore it in a haunt? =o Because I've already had problems with mine. It messes with my vision. After I take it out, it's like the eye that was uncovered is foggy for a little while. I asked my friend's sister, who is blind in one eye, and training to be some form of eye doctor. I forget exactly what. Anyway, this is what she said:
"If you'll be wearing it for long periods of time, it'll take time for your brain to adjust back to normal, which causes headaches and possibly long-term visual problems, depending on how sensitive your eyes are. It's like gambling, sort of. You'll never know the outcome and if it'll be good or bad. Eyes are very important and you're very, very lucky to have two healthy ones Personally, I wouldn't wear the contact longer than to get some good photographs with it on."

The way mine were made its like looking through fog when you have them in so its not to bad. I only wore both of them for one night. Most of the time I only had one of them in because its part of one of my characters and when I just have the one in its in my eye that does not see well any ways so it does not bother me as bad.

Hmmm, I wonder if mine are thicker or something, because the only thing I can make out are very strong light changes.
It's a real shame. I was hoping to wear it for a zombie walk, but I really hate the effect it has on my vision. So I guess it'll just be for short photoshoots.
