Thank you. Its in Letcher county, Ky. Took it a few yrs. back. May make a trip back there to see if nature or man has reclaimed the bridge (to no where).

I wonder if these things might be like that leap from the lion's head in the Indiana Jones story. Perhaps forces we do not know, and cannot see leave the guidepost there for the stout of heart; or, maybe they are the merely the means to ending up with the last words "Hey, watch this" as your epitaph as they literally appear.Β

Nice analogy, wonderful imagination. I just saw a bridge to nowhere... a project begun with good intentions and an amateur engineers worst nightmare or just nature reclaiming itself, progress, and how time and neglect slow decay, ashes to ashes, dust toΒ dust.Β Β

TY... could pass the chance of capturing how nature reclaims even the simplest of structured forms. I am glad you liked it. I remember the picture, slowing the car down and taking it on a very narrow road in Eastern Ky. No place to stop or park.

excellent eye. i wanted to suggest cropping out the car mirror; however, it does add a bit of photojournalistic nature to the piece and balances it. Β i like the misty nature.

Ty. It was an overcast day on a narrow road in Eastern Ky and the only option was this shot.

no problem, I have no idea about eastern Ky, but such bridges must be around 200 years old

No. But a good guess. It was a footbridge... May have been built in the '70's, best guess. Weather beaten, decaying wood, but an intriguing sight.
