Description
This is an oldie - done over a year ago when I was first getting to grips with Poser 6. I still like this one - one of those rare times when I could properly light the mil environment without it looking like a cardboard theatre set! This picture is also special to me because it was the first picture I had selected for the Daz monthly gallery; it was really nice to have my work recognised and feel that I was going in the right direction. Normally I don't upload retrospective work here, but I'd like to keep a decent sized copy of this online.
I'm discouraging critique on this because it's done and dusted now, I won't be re-opening it for adjustments.
Hope y'all had a good weekend and thanks for looking.

Have you considered doing a print of this one? Its perfect for a little girl's room. Also, what filter did you post process it with? I love that farietale look (pun intended).

To be honest wolfie - I was just playing around in photoshop with this, it's from March 2005 so I don't have the original files anymore; but I might be able to put something together for a print. Glad you liked it.

She fits the backround so well, and the soft colors look so natural. Gotta it!

I sooo nearly made a cake myself yesterday - but laziness prevailed and I bought a vanilla and chocolate luxury mini cheesecake. Not as good - but oh so much quicker!

I almost bought a cake today, too!! (completely serious)
Have I made us all suffer so much?!? >_<'
I bought shrimp instead, though, as I was very hungry. (yay, me!)

Yes - now I keep getting flashback visions of your cake - no art has had that effect on me!

It's the chocolate, which actually has an aprodesiac like effect on parts of your brain. (specifically fatty foods)
I want some more damn cake!!
(thinking about making more. >_<'
If I can find a way, and I make another, I'll literally send you a piece! (seriously) O.o

whoa_ you really got my attention with this one... i have to know more about this style and technique... tell me about how you make the trees. i know you love to go for as much realism a possible, but this is fantastic... like a very old children's story book illustration come to life. this is very good. i would hope that you still remember how to get this result.... tell me you do.

I'm afraid I cant take credit for the background - it was a millenium environment thingie from Daz. I set it up within the program and spend probably hopurs trying to get the thing lit properly, but the painting isn't mine.
Glad you liked it though.

Thank you; I'd used Poser 5 before - but was pretty clueless. The only decent work I did started from Poser 6 really. If you saw me with Poser 5 trying to work out how to fit hair and clothing with no concept of conforming you would probably think differently.

I'm not entirely sure now - it was long ago that I did it. I would hazzard a guess that it was some layering in photoshop with some blurring. Glad you liked it.

Ah... I use PSP so I'm not familiar with much as far as Photoshop. Xero has a bunch of free PS/PSP filters that are really awesome when doing fantasy renders... [link] I make MASSIVE use of them in postwork. lol I've tried PS but I just don't get it. lol
