An elegantly attired Middle Pleistocene Frenchman goes for a stroll by the lake and picks up a light lunch.

The European hippo and water buffalo would have still been found in rivers and lakes throughout Europe at the time, so his constitutional could be interrupted now and then.

Because the reconstructed skull might be a composite of two individuals the look is probably a generalization.

Despite giving him a butterfly codpiece, I suspect that even in the warm period, European erectus would have had some sort of clothing for cooler days.
