Another DTA entry? What? I must be really liking these competitions even if I never win them haha

This is the first time I've ever been really proud of a pixel scene! I've only done a few in the past, and every time I've ended up feeling that the background was lacking. I spent much more time on this background and it really looks nice imo, I'm super proud of it <3

This is also my first time ever drawing anthro! I've always been vaguely scared to try drawing it because of the anatomy - I was a purely feral artist for a very long time and the mere thought of drawing humanoids seriously scared me, muchtheless anthros. I really like how this one came out, though!

This piece drew from a lot of influences. I wanted something gritty, urban, and cyberpunk, and definitely took bright colors and background styling from games like Hyper Light Drifter (okay, mostly HLD). Ended up looking a bit like VA11-HA11A actually, although that wasn't really intentional at first.

Fought with the colors on this in GIMP for quite a while. idk if anyone saw my sad status but the FA on my computer doesn't display colors correctly for some reason. I wanted really bright colors but for some reason the program didn't want to give them to me? Here's the original before I fiddled with color levels if you want a comparison.
