und noch immer verneige ich mich vor dem level deines Sklills! Ernsthaft das sieht soo cool aus und diese großen Plattenschuppen kannst du echt mega gut malen ohne dass es überladen aussoeht wie´s öfters mal der Fall ist. Und der Drache ist schwarz, das gibt nochmal einen bonuspunkt auf die awesomeness drauf XD

I do shading the same as you digitally, but it’s dificult for me. Is it best to work with a watercolour brush at nearly no opacity, or would a airbrush work best???

I shade the main part traditionally and add some extra shadows with these option on my brush: opacity ~ 40-60%, hardness: ~80% (the edges are softer than usual, but not that soft as the airbrush one, so you still have a kind of hardness on your shadow. If you shade too soft, it looks weird and don't blend in so well into the traditional part). Furthermore you have to activate the sensitivity of the brush of course ;3 I hope it helps! If not, just let me know and I will send you a screenshot of my brush settings xD

my eraser settings are the same. The brush is a very common one. Mostly one of the first in the beginning batch

I always shade with a layer in multiply mode and make the highlights in an overlay layer. Maybe it helps. And always pick a color to shade, not black (if your base is colored). If you want a "cold" shadow, take blue and violet tones. For warm atmosphere of course orange/brown-yellow tones. Mostly I am picking the base color to shade and add atmosphere color later, but that's "doubled work". Overlay colors are often White, but also the base colors in light.

A collaboration sounds good. I'll keep that in mind and will be glad if you note me sometime again, when I have time for art trades, collabs and request. (I will make a journal when I am rdy for that xD)
