My entry for the contest: some species of dragonflies come out from the larval stage in spring and "disappear" some weeks later until the following year. If you are used, like me, to go hiking a lot in spring, you will certainly see a lot of dragonflies around (these ones in particular: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basiaesc… )...in Europe at least...

Aspects of Spring ContestHi everyone! A new contest is here! Spring is coming soon and I wanted to host a contest for it's arrival.The theme: an aspect of spring. Pick an aspect of the Spring season that is your favorite and create a photomanipulation inspired by that aspect. For example, my favorite aspect of the Spring season is the rain that leads to the growth of plants and flowers. The way the rain smells and feels is so refreshing and warms my soul.Need some ideas? Here is a small list of spring aspects:Rain, flowers, baby animals, fresh air, more sunshine, warming temperature, thawing snow and ice, birds chirping, etc. You get to chose what aspect you love the most and create a piece based on that. Is your favorite aspect not listed? That's okay! You can still make a piece about it! See the general rules for more info.Deadline - Currently April 30thRules for contest: - Need a minimum of 10 entries to be valid- You must be a member of PhotoManipulation101 to participate. Not a member? Send a join request and please look at our group policies regarding membership and submissions- You must create the piece specifically for this contest and it cannot be an already existing piece.- You must mention in your artist description what aspect of Spring you have chosen. If it is not a typical aspect of Spring, please give a detailed reason as to why is it an aspect of Spring to you.- All stocks used must be credited and from legitimate sources. Please refer to the group policies for further information.- You are only allowed to submit one piece for this contest, and cannot swap it out for another.- Submit to the "Contest Folder" on group pagePrizes:1st place - 2,000 points, a feature in PhotoManipulation101 & PhotomanipulationArt2nd place - 1,000 points, a feature in PhotoManipulation101 & PhotomanipulationArt3rd place - 500 points, a feature in PhotoManipulation101 & PhotomanipulationArtVoting will be based on a week-long community vote with a point system. 1st place vote gets 5 points, 2nd place vote gets 3 points, 3rd place vote gets 1 point.
