This is a breathtaking piece of art.

The idea behind it is brilliant - simple, yet filled with complexity and wrapped in tens of layers of different meanings. It art in it's purest form. You have managed to create a piece that communicates a grand message to the viewers and at the same time force the individual viewer to decode the message for himself, thus reaching a unique conclusion, applicable only for himself.

Your technique is excellent and the shading and color blend of both the planets and the woman are gorgeous. I also very much like the visual effect that you created for the woman's hair, visualizing it with the stars around the head.

My only critique is that if in the three parts of the painting the woman is the same you have failed to create them symmetrical, especially the breasts and the belly.

thank you for such a deep and engaging critique!

as for the symmetry in women, they were meant to be different, one on the right slightly bigger... i don't know when i made their faces look so similar... it's confusing and i'm not satisfied, but this wasn't planned

Heh, things like this happen sometimes when one is so involved in creating a piece of art. It has happened to me many times.

Heh, I'm like that myself. Sometimes when I finish a piece I've been working for a long time even if I know I can make changes to improve I fear to do them.

This is very much like an image I have envisioned commissioning for an alliterative poem that has occupied my pen for a few months. Though, the archetypal mother there comes under more general rubric of "nature". The Big Bang itself is a child of Nature, after all. I've never developed any sort of skill in the visual arts, through no one's fault but my own, and lack therefore the sure hand needed to produce an image of this fine caliber. I am glad to see this, in any case, as it reassures my mind that the iconographical concept works. Well done!

And before the Big Bang was that strange moment of cosmic conception... Hey, really awesome work!

Very nicely done. Expressive, respectful, sexual but not in a porn-like manner, and provocative but not offensive.

I find this piece gorgeous. My wife is a midwife and she also likes this. I would love to get a print of this for her office, or even the original Big Bang. Wonderful concept.

this is THE BEST representation of the Big Bang I've ever seen! I adore it! You really represented the creation of life, instead of some massive explosion, you turned it into something graceful and so, so beautiful...

it's natural for us humans to understand things through analogies... and observing the world showed that all things in nature work quite the same way, zoom in or out. so in my opinion big bang was pretty much like this, although probably didn't include giant human females

i'm happy you like it so much, thank you!

This is so beautiful that I have no words.

And in these terms, beautiful means something that is meaningful, inspiring and multidimensional. Very good work.

Though, as you, I would have put the Big Bang's light to the downside of the belly... Because that would have given some kind of an indication of that there's something that "fertilized" the universe? Like feminine and masculine energy. It's all made of them.

But of course, I understand if this is a picture of the feminine energy alone, so everything works.

wow, thank you! i'm happy you find it inspiring.

i thought about the downside of the belly (or even painting light between the woman's legs as the baby is coming out)but light from the heart seemed more motherly... i will probably use this subject again and focus on sexual energy

Be welcome.

Yeah, however you want. The heart is important when raising a child and loving him/her, but actually, BUT even those that are loveless are fertile... xD Not a funny thing, actually. o:

i was just thinking that it's very badly done and i should start all over again. so thank you very much, i REALLY appreciate it. and i'm glad you like it!

If you feel you should start over then maybe you should. It never hurts to improve on things, no matter how good they are. Now, that doesn't mean you have to start right away on it, you hit something good with this one, so you should take a break on this idea, and return to it in the future if you feel that you have an idea that will strengthen it further.
