Godzilla's the best. But I'll admit KG is a hell of an opponent for Godzilla. He doesn't go down easy. He's a twelve-rounder. He's the Joker to Godzilla's Batman.

In order to make King Ghidorah a good villain, they (the writers of the Godzilla sequel) need to give him a motive, what would that motive be? Would Ghidorah be a weapon for an alien race to take over Earth? Would he be a rogue monster that consumes the life out of what ever planet he's on? Or would he just be another prehistoric alpha predator, like Godzilla, who fights Godzilla for dominance?Β

If I recall correctly, his motive was summed up as him doing what he did in any given film for the evulz and because he could. It's a rather shallow motive, true, but it's still a motive. I don't see him being a weapon for anyone. He's not that easy of a beast to control and Mecha King Ghidorah was more or less a reanimated corpse with cyborg parts. A rogue monster or an ancient predator would be better suited for him. I'm leaning more towards predatory rival if they go the ancient monster route like Big G.

I honestly wouldn't know. I haven't seen that trio of films yet and it's been some time since I've dug into Ghidorah's characterization. I just remember that Ghidorah's a bit of an asshat who does what he does because he can. That's probably why he came off as somewhat disappointing to me when I first saw Godzilla vs King Ghidorah last year when he was being controlled by aliens. I remember sitting through it and thinking "This is Godzilla's greatest enemy?" I wasn't expecting him to ever be controllable.
However, given it was the one-off film where he wasn't extraterrestrial in origin, I eventually let it slide. I seriously doubt King G will be controlled by anyone in the next Godzilla film because of the "force of nature" theme they gave Big G in the 2014 film. That and I find it to be rather unbelievable for anyone to control creatures of that size.

Aerodynamic, he was not. I watched Ghidorah The Three-Headed Monster, and I'm thinking "This is Godzilla's greatest foe?" He was kind of a joke. I just know the sequel to the 2014 movie's going to make him the badass he deserves to be.

Have you ever considered working for Legendary Pictures? You should apply, being serious here since your redesigns stay true to the character but make them more biologically possible to their abilities. With the fault of the square by foot rule of course
