So Mohatu's parents were murdered in an accident, but many suspected a conspiracy. The prince was only a teenager. After the funeral, everyone hoped that the deceased king's brother, Askari, would take over the throne until his nephew grew up and learned his royal duties. What came as a shock was his news that he did not intend to take the throne and would hand it over to Mohatu immediately. Askari was never eager to become a ruler (he preferred to continue being the captain of his Lion Guard) and was deeply affected by the death of his brother and sister-in-law and believed that he had no right to be a monarch. However, Mohatu has and felt the worst. He lost his beloved parents at such a young age and he is to become king in a few days. He was distraught and a mess. Fortunately, his uncle and friends will support him and help him when he needs it.

This drawing shows the announcement of the news of Mohatu's coronation by Askari himself. The future king was not only famous for his wisdom and justice, but was also the youngest crowned ruler in the history of the Pridelands. Poor boy. 😢

I really like how the drawing turned out. I used a thinner lineart. 😅
