This is really cute and a amazing idea! I want to go try this out now, but I will doing this a slightly different way. (as I only have GIMP at my disposal.)

Ahhh! GIMP doesn't have the plastic wrap feature so they look crummy. I'll upload in my scraps and I'll send you a link.
Instead I used the Neon Filter, with the Softglow Filter, along with just plan old shading. Definitely not as good. *Is going to sneak on her father's computer to complete gummybear*
Although on a funny side note, I was listening to that Gummy Bear song the entire time I was making it.
