Happy Wednesday, folks!

Halfway through the week and work has not subsided one bit. Luckily for me, work means getting to draw some pretty interesting worlds, such as N0.1R

It's been a while since I've dabbled into this creation of mine, being that I was wrapping up many other projects, Nightfell included. However, the time has come to put the final details to this other novel so that it can finally go out into the shelves and to get myself in the mood, I warmed-up to this sketch I had left over from last year's Inktober, going a bit beyond the mere black and white too.
One of the things I absolutely adore about this idea is how silly parts of it look and yet, how it can all be illustrated as serious noir. From the tap-nosed bartender or the holographic stripper, down to this one-eyed walking camera fellow, everything you are is defined explicitly in your physique in N0.1R. There's no escaping what you do, which is 100% tied to how you actually ARE and what physical characteristics you're born with; or more specifically, assembled with.

Another curious detail about this project is that, without my intention, all the characters tend to spring to a life of their own besides the simple exploratory drawing. This guy above started as just something silly to warm-up to but has slowly taken more prominence as an actual character I might use in a short story or two. After all, that big eye of his could get him in trouble in the seedy city streets he roams working for the Police Department.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one as usual and be on the lookout for more news regarding N0.1R as well as Nightfell (which has been slightly delayed as you might've noticed!).
