His stare is intruiging, draws me in and makes me wonder what he's looking at. Love the tinge and colours.
Fav for sure.

Good shot by the way.

Vous etes trop correcte! Vert et Jaune est mon couleurs favorites. Ils sont developents a une laboratorie et a faire processe-croix.
My french sucks. Apparently when I was a child I was fluent, but that soon changed when we moved back to England. Thankyou, Msr. Booch. What I was trying to say before my pigeon-French took over is that this shot was cross-processed. Never mind.

It is "traitement croisΓ© " in french mate.
Anyway, the picture is quite good.

How was the rest of the French? 'Horrendous' 'Appaling' 'Heinous' are some words that come to mind that you may like to use. Actually this image was taken off the cuff to finish off some film but turned out quite nicely. It's not as nice as everyone says it is; the lighting ain't great like it is in some of yours but at least it's honest.
I'm thinking of learning French again, I still have the accent for it (Mid-Western in a small village called Perignac if you're interested) and I have the impetus. I think i'll give it a shot.

Well, the rest sounded a bit like an internet translator...
But, anyway, my english is not good, so, I can't do in english much more than you could do in french.
Yes, crossed process is rather difficult to control, you have to test and test again, but, sometimes, it works and you can have exellent results.
Perignac sounds very Perigord, isn't it ?

I actually had the film cross-processed then scanned the negatives into the computer so it's not a very professional service. I should maybe have some proper prints done.
I have never heard of Perigord. Perignac is in or near the Cognac region I think. We had a neighbour who made a lot of Cognac, I know that.

hey how do you scan negatives into your computer? i thought cross processing produced prints anyway.

cross processing your film creates a negative from which you can create prints, but I have a friend who has a negative scanner. They're roughly the same price as a normal scanner and look the same but have a hole in the top.

Cognac ? Ok then, I see, you were in "Charente", it's beautiful there, they make bad wine, so they make Cognac...

I wouldn't know about bad wine, i'm English... Naw, i'd like to think for an englishman I have quite refined tastes. I like to learn from my father the different types of grape used such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon etc. But i'm no expert. Do you work as a photographer?

Nope, I'm an amateur pal.
About the wine, no need to know a lot, go to France, go to see producers and taste... that's it.
