Description
A private commission for an awesome married couple. This took forever to finish, unfortunately, but I'm glad I stuck through all the changes and revision I made as I went along. I had so much fun getting lost in that forest!Painter and Photoshop. The client had it printed on canvas at 24"x24"; it looked great.

Love this I only have a couple of problems with it. The spear looks a little unnatural, and the lacings for her legs look unnecessary, I wonder what kind of tooth is the man wearing? Is that a tame beaver? Aside from those questions I'm absolutely enamored with this piece. I love it, reminds me of the Earth Children's series. I love all the detail and the shading you always amaze me with your artwork. I would aspire to someday be almost as good as you.

Whoa.
I've been gone from DA too long. I forgot how much your work can take my breath away. This one definitely looks like a lot of work and love went into it and it pays off amazingly. The level of detail makes it feel lifelike. As if I could step right in and live a life in this place you've brought to the canvas.
And the characters! SO much affection and playfulness, like life just comes right out of them. They feel like real people when I look at them, even with any little errors there might be physics or proportions.
With this work you've done the thing that's key when creating something fake that's meant to look real - make it believable more than anything else.
Honestly, this is one of my favorite pieces I've seen in the 10+ years of being on DA.

Very nice color choices and details.
The figures have a couple of issues , though.
It looks like you referenced the faces from portrait profile shots
and mounted them onto different bodies which looks a bit odd.
