I miss you too! I have two WIPs that I desperately want to finish, but they're pretty ambitious projects. In the meantime, I'm hoping to get back in the habit of sketching.

Things are great! It's getting fairly warm here (apparently we bypassed spring and are heading straight for summer). Work is good, and married life is fun!

Oh, that sounds amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing new work of yours! How is that Loki and Elsa painting coming along by the way?
I kind of forced myself into the habit of doing warm-ups before starting on something more "serious", and I have to admit that it's doing wonders for my creativity and work flow.
(Btw this is one of the WIPs I was talking about, but I'm stuck right in the final stage >.> tumblr link )

That's great to hear! I went from more or less cold Canada to really strange weather in Germany, to hot summer in Japan.

Canada was reaaaaally awesome. I really liked Vancouver (the mountains! the sea!), and living there was nice, too (great food!). My host family are the nicest, funniest, kindest people, and I was so grateful I got to live with them and get to know them. I also met a lot of other great people at college and made friends in Vancouver I'm still in contact with. Though I was kind of glad to come back home and see my family again, I also want to visit Vancouver again in the future, this time in summer though.

I'm trying so hard to be diligent and paint every day! I need to do some warm-ups and such like you've been showcasing on your Tumblr. I love that WIP you have! Absolutely gorgeous.

Speaking of Tumblr--how do you like it? I've been thinking about setting up an account to link to my deviantART page just for more exposure, but I wanted a friend's opinion first.

Hahaha, what an adventure! Are you still in Japan? It's hot and awfully humid here on the East Coast of the US, which I hate. I much prefer fall.

I've heard such great things about Vancouver!! A good friend of mine lives nearby in Calgary. So it was a study abroad program? What classes were you taking?

It's a little hard to really get into the habit, but once you're used to it it just helps soooo much. I'm so glad to hear you like it!

I do like it, although I occassionally get sucked into it too much. I have a tiny little corner with a tiny amount of followers - I follow mostly art/sketch blogs for inspiration, and it's also a place for me to post sketches I wouldn't post to dA. It hasn't done anything exposure-wise, but I like my tiny space on tumblr nevertheless.

Still in Japan, still dreading the months to come (rain season and the peak of summer, yay). I'm also more of an autumn person.

It really is nice. More or less. I decided I needed a break from university, and arranged a gap year-like year on my own. I did International Business Management at a small international college, which included things like marketing, organizational behaviour, communications, and law.
