So, the other day, Kiilan and I decided to each try and develop a more realistic art style for the illustrations I am working on for Mrs. Orbison. My anime style just cannot do justice to the wonderful characters she has created!

Since we have seen Sherlock Holmes : A Game of Shadows twice, we chose Holmes as the subject of our experiment with semi-realism. We both decided to draw our own picture, and would then compare sketches and decide what would work best. After finishing my drawing, I sent my sketch to Kiilan and Kiilan sent me this picture and a message that read "My Holmes PWNS your Holmes!" We were originally going to post a side by side comparison and ask for an audience oppinion, but my experimental design was so awful, I decided to not even post it!

Good work, Kiilan! I think this style will work for Mrs. Orbison's illustrations. Now all I have to do is get you to teach me how to do it!
