Description Over at we are having the monthly Friday Projects . This month it's sock dolls and origami! Inspired by the project, I did some origami.

I found a tutorial here on dA for this box cube thingy, but can't find it anymore! If anyone knows the link to the tutorial, please let me know. I searched the tutorial section for an hour with no luck.

Anyway, I used six different sheets of 8x8 scrapbooking paper for this. I tucked in three flaps on the top to make the lid (which wasn't in the tutorial, but hey, I'm obsessed with boxes ). It's kind of a cheat though, since I used glue to keep the box sticking together.

It was my first try with modular origami

Ha! [link] It's not the tutorial I used, but it's the same origami model. I just turned the cube into a box by leaving the top flap open

Thanks! It was pretty simple to do actually. Just folding the pages in and out a bit and then sticking them together
