Description The sun shines as bright at night
As it ever does at noonday
And yet it is hidden from our view
As if it wasn’t there

Where is the sun?
In the darkness of night
Do we really know it’s there?
When we can’t see its light

Turn your gaze upward in the midst of the night
And though its face is hidden from view
You will know the sun shines on
If you just look to the moon

Where is the Son?
In a world of night
They don’t believe He’s there
When they can’t see His light

But if you will be a moon
And reflect His light
God will be revealed
And break through their night

Will you be a moon?
A simple reflection…

great, but I tend to let Him shine trough me

On its own, a very good thinkingline!

Thanks. And yes, it's really more of a shining through than a mere reflection. But the points the same, we are not the source, He is. After all, the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. And if He didn't light the candle, it would be awfully dark.

Aww thanx. It's amazing the things that will come to you when you're standing on a boat in the middle of the atlantic ocean.

Or any ocean really. The moon helps too. Very poetic things, oceans and moons.

Yes, I know what you mean. It's definitely much easier said than done. But it must be possible or else we wouldn't be instructed to do the things that Jesus did no?

True ... I guess it's like, even though you can't do it, doesn't mean you shouldn't try. There's always a choice, right ?

Well, that's not exactly what I had in mind. I think it can be done. Or at least to a certain extent. I think we too often limit ourselves by concentrating on our own flaws and in limiting ourselves we also limit God by limiting what He can do through us.

Wow, that's a good one. Very thought inspireing, and so very true. Nice one! The drawing looks like another of your 'blurred-photograph-esque paintings'. I like it. Sure it's not a photo?

Thanks. And yes, I'm sure it's not a photo. Just a quick and simple digital airbrush painting done in Photoshop yesterday afternoon. There were no photographs involved. I was actually checking out the non digital side of airbrushing when I was on vacation. An art store that I was in had a starter kit for just under $300. Mmmm....

Thanks. I wrote this on the ferry at the start of my vacation. There was a beautiful full moon and it got me thinking.
