that starlord Long Sword does look pretty good but i'm not a long swordsman
Jyratodus switch axe is good as it is a lot of water damage but i feel like it lacks in sharpness

Charge Blades are more my thing, but I'm pretty well comfy with all of them, but in terms of pure elemental fury, the Charge Blade has it in spades, it's Amped elemental discharge literally causes explosions of their element right under your target

i remember i liked charge blade back in MH4U but it was REALLY complicated, now i like greatsword and it is the best decision i've made
i do hear that it is worth it though as charge blade can DESTROY if mastered

in World i have no idea how to even charge the shield

the charging method hasn't changed, it's the same as it was in 4U, but now in World you can charge the sword too

In order to charge the shield you simply press the block button while doing an elemental discharge, in 4U the Axe mode and the amped elemental discharge became your primary source of damage while the shield was charged. Now that you can charge the sword and do dodge attacks it's become a far more fluid weapon.

It swims in snow. Gotta be an ice weapon. Before this DLC came out, only Legiana and certain hidden elements gave ice.

true only legiana and kushala had ice and diablos gave hidden ice
but what others also forget is that we also only had 1 water weapon (Juratodus) and 2 lightning weapons (Tobi and Kirin)
i know there is more to come with iceborne but the most i can hope is more of these 3 elements, there was way too much fire in world
ice or water for Beotodus can work
i imagine it could differ per weapon, like greatsword could be ice but switch axe could be a power phial type water weapon

There is a big lack in certain monsters/elements in World...
On the other hand, it is much easier to join/gather a team for hunts than in Gen. Ultimate. Sometimes, you can't tell if the others are already hunting or not, despite the specification for a search.
