One of the two pieces I submitted to Udon's Mega Man Tribute book. This one didn't get in, but eh, I got in with another piece, and I'm super-happy with this one no matter what, so yay.I don't even remember what inspired this, probably the song "Speed and Velocity" from They Might Be Giants's kids' album Here Comes Science. And the desire to do a somewhat different "themed robots" pic by picking the speedsters. Plus an experiment in eye-bending perspective, and an urge to try a kind of looser, "sketchy inks" style, like the kind from one of those Mario sports games. The soccer one, I think. Or possibly basketball. Whatever.
Hand-drawn with digital colors. Good pal helped with the ground effects.

Some bots who could use to be in a remake in this pic would be Mars, Pluto, those fast cone things in Napalm Man's stage, the Thrill Twins miniboss in Blast Man's stage, Hornet Man, Rush Jet, Fuse Man, Bounce Man all split apart, and Tundra Man (whether any of the last 3 are using their Speed Gears is up to you).

For Oil Man.. The pink lips is not kind of a racist.. America is weird. I love black people.. Nothing's wrong with pink lips. Capcom of USA is strange and embarrassment.

1) No, my monitor is fine. I understand that your art is a blued metallic on Dangan Man. However, I liked to following Banadai's art says otherwise and its a purple.
2) I understand that. I come in peace. Please do not attack me but I want to tell you from my point of view. I don't care about "blackface". Those people are stupid and racist and cold heart. Nothing's wrong. I dont see any black people complaint about the OilMan in PSP game at all. The blackface was older in 19th century and we are in 21th century.

Ahem. I love how you included the random basic enemy here and there. Not to mention, obscurity galore. Plum, Jupiter, that... torpedo dude, whom I can't seem to remember, and... the duck guy... I dunno.
I lol'd at least three times in this pic. Top and Jupiter just... gawd, I love those guys. Centaur kinda made me think "Excelcior", but maybe that's just me.

I can't help but giggle a little at Jupiter's expression as though he's reacting to Duo's propulsion. I also spy a couple of unexpected speedsters like Centaur Man and Tornado Man (who I should have expected, but shame on me).
All in all, a great composition, man.
