Description
GAME: El VientoRELEASE DATE: 1991
PLATFORM: Sega Genesis
DEVELOPER: Wolf Team
Annet is the heroine of the El Viento on the Sega Genesis and Annet Futatabi on the Sega CD (Japan only).
El Viento is a side-scrolling action game that has Annet and Earnest Evans (mrmadmouth.deviantart.com/art/β¦ ) trying to stop an evil cult from resurrecting the demon god Hastur. Annet Futatabi was a beat-'em-up that never left Japan.
I'm... not thrilled by how this one turned out, but... here it is. It went without saying that if I drew Earnest, I HAD to draw Annet. Oh, well. Enjoy.

This game had stellar music, courtesy of Motoi Sakuraba. The game itself, however, was rage-inducing to play.

Yes, the music is top tier stuff.

Yeah, Sakuraba still does music for Wolfteam and Tri-Ace to this day.

Nice work on her.
I really liked that game, El Viento. And I heard she appears in another game on Sega CD
I just loved the graphics and gameplay to El Viento. It was hard, but I still loved going back to it

I didn't know the Sega Genesis cartridge for this game is hard to find. Well, nevertheless, I still got to try to find it anyway.Β I've already got Wolfteam's earliest work on the Genesis- FZ Senki Axis (Final Zone).Β Great work on Annet, by the way.

I heard the sequel, Annet Futatabi, is hard to come by as well.

I'd bet. They make these games in such limited numbers. I have another game from Telenet that is basically my all time favorite, due to the characters and music, but the controls are poor:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LzOEIβ¦

Oh, yeah. I remember Doomsday Warrior. It was a fun little fighting game.

I love the music to it as well as its characters, but I wish the people at Telenet did not make it into a terrible fighting game.
In my opinion, I do not necessarily like Square-Enix anymore. Their time in the sun pretty much ended when they first quit making games for the SNES/Super Famicom.
I also feel that Tetsuya Nomura was responsible for ruining the company with the creation of the 3D Final Fantasies like 7-15 and the one game that made me hate him and his work- Kingdom Hearts.

It's really hard and so is Earnest Evans...
Never played the Sega CD sequel Annet Futatabi, sadly.

yeah, that game is tough to find, even on emulation sites... and a physical copy can set you up for some hefty amounts of ca$h on E-bay & Amazon!
