note:
the amulet curse is more likened to the effects of a weaponized enchantments...
the effects tend to continue to develop after the subject has made contact with the amulet, and do not desist unless the subject it at least 4-6 yards away from the amulet, or at least slows the effects down... (however seeing none have effectively reach safe distance in time this last note is a guess...)
the effects only happen when the amulet has direct contact with skin...(however seeing as to the fact near every subject who has so forth handled it has done so without protection this too is a guess...)
few subjects do not receive a sense of pain and or shock when being effected and for the few this has been the undoing of their former selves...
and most (if not all) effects are permanent...
ps. now I gotta find some way to get this thing back...

Me- *climbs up onto the low portion of my friends roof creeps up to his window (which happens to be open) and squeezes in silently (due to not being a very massive dragon) before sneaking up behind my friend (who's at his computer playing a game online and so has headphones on).
Having heard you yell that the effects were permeant, despite you cutting off what you were saying, I lift the amulet with my tail and maneuver it over his head, then I make a noise to get him to take his headphones off before dropping it over his head and around his neck..,*
