Anybody remember Archie Comics? These were the biggest comics for a loooong time! Heck, Archie was the last comic to be sold in grocery stores. Of course, Archie Comics tend to be super bland. Very little interesting happens in them, and the only time someone pays it any mind is when dark stuff happens. There was also THIS comic, where stuff got a bit crazy! XD This is from Archie #659, which revolves around Sabrina, Archie, and the gang going to the zoo. Seems like a typical silly story for Archie right? WRONG! You see, Salem decides to talk to a lion using a spell. He's apparently friends with the lion, because... Uh... Anyway, Salem decides to break out the lion in broad daylight using a magic spell.

Now, if you've read any comic featuring Sabrina or Salem, then you'd probably know that 90% of their spells backfire in some way. So, Salem's spell ends up turning the Archie gang into animals! Archie becomes a chimp, his parents become pandas, Jughead becomes a giraffe, etc. What makes this really good is that the spell is like a virus and is spreading to other people in town. This means that every person Archie and his animalized friends bump into turn into animals as well! So, it's up to Archie and the gang to reverse the spell before the animal-pocalypse happens. Honestly, they should've stayed animals if you ask me. Would've made the comics more entertaining. XD

Also, this comic cake out a mere TWO MONTHS after Adult Archie's death in the "Life with Archie" comics. This is the teenage Archie though, who's adventures still continue to this very day. Still, it's pretty jarring to going from the much talked about demise of a popular comic character to "HA HA, HE'S A CHIMP NOW". Still, I actually dug this comic quite a bit. It's nice to see all the Archie gang getting turned into animals. I know people prefer a comic that came out a few years before this that had Salem swapping everyone's genders. That one was fun, but I defs prefer this one, because I'm biased.
