Made shapes and pretty simple gradients in illustrator, added some shadows, lights and other decorative crap in ps. Shadows and lights made the shapes look interesting.

i've got illustrator cs3 but i have no idea how to use it. i've tried, but i've never made anything that looks halfway decent.

I always use ps to make the postwork. Not working in illustrator much, just make form, some gradients and distortions.
