Judging the cold streets way too rough for his pretty face, being a street merchant was a ridiculous thought. So ridiculous that Xia He decided to open his own little shop in order to sell his numerous and peculiar herbs. You think that this angelic face definitely can't provide poisonous herbs ? Well you might be surprised to see how far he can go as long as you'll provide him the money~

History :

"My story ? Why bother telling it when it is so similar to commoners' past ?"
His childhood ? As much as this might disappoint you, his childhood went without any major incident : he never had to endure the dramatic death of someone that was close to him, neither his hands bathed in any blood. He was brought up with love, with a caring grand-mother... Wait, grand-mother ?
Okay, maybe I lied a bit. Something did miss in his childhood : he never got the chance to spend much time with his parents, for Xia He was easily sick. The constant cold was just to much for a kid to handle.
His fragile health forced his parents to let his grand-mother be in charge, for she was way more loaded and could therefore provide the medicine needed in order for Xia He to stay alive.

However, Xia He understood rather quickly that his parents didn't leave him so he could stay alive. No, they most likely dumped him in order to enjoy their lives. Who wouldn't after all ? They were young, healthy, and had absolutely no reason to get busy with a kid that couldn't stand the cold of the North Kingdom.
It didn't really bother him though. He was loved and was taking cared of, isn't that the important part ? Yes, everything would've been fine if his old grandma didn't become poor from all the expenses. Treatments, cures, herbs... All worked greatly and Xia He was now a healthy young boy that got used to the rough weather. Such a sad fate that all of these miracles costed so much the two partners now lived in one of those disreputable districts.

Eventually, his grandma died. And it was just a matter of time before the young boy understood how valuable money was. Such a trustworthy ally indeed. Why need physical strength when you got the cash ? Can't the sweet sound of gold and silver coins meddling together solve any kind of problems ?

Because of all his treatments, he ended up knowing more and more about the fabulous diversity of remedies... And poisons that were available in the kingdom. Being sick has its benefits it seems.

He used to be sick but wealthy, then he had to experience being healthy but poor. Isn't it time to finally be healthy and well-off ?
