My small tribute to Qinni of her most iconic piece titled “Starred Freckles”. My style involves more edge control than hers so it’s not as loose and expressive but I did it anyway. I learned a lot from the process
Anyway, I felt like a part of me was missing since her passing. Whenever she shared her pains and struggles with the world, I felt resonated. I knew that she had heart problems, but I’ve always felt like they would escalate further. And they did, my instinct is very bad at hoping for the best.
I am getting better, I didn’t cry but my heart definitely has ached without me knowing.
My condolences to her family and friends. I’m sure it’s still very difficult for them.
