Description
*This wasn't right... * She had seen it. She had seen Link defeating Majora and her visions had never lied before, but now he was gone and the world of Termina would be crushed and seared into oblivion and Hyrule would be soon to follow. How could it be? She felt a deep grief for the loss of her friend and fear for this dark future that now loomed. Then a new feeling crept over her, a steady determination pushing her frenzied thoughts aside. Link was gone but she was still here, and she knew how to fight from her time as Sheik. She would do what had to be done. There was no one else who could.......
Years later, Zelda still wore the empty shell of a mask that had once contained Majora. It wasn't just a reminder of what had been lost. It was a warning to the dark creatures of the world: she would defend her land, no matter the cost.
I usually do come up with stories for all the illustrations I do, though I usually don't bother typing them up since I'm not the best writer. However, I always wondered why, for a series titled "Legend of Zelda", Zelda barely even appeared in Majora's Mask (especially after she was such a badass in Ocarina of Time). In this alternate path, Zelda would have gone to take Link's place and stop the destruction of both worlds about a year after she had become Sheik. When she returned to Hyrule, it would also be up to her to save Hyrule from Gannon as well. Yeah the chronology is a bit fiddly and there might be a paradox in there I just haven't seen yet, but you have to admit that the LoZ timeline is pretty tangled up as is!

That's awesome; I love the painting-ish feel to this piece, and Zelda/Sheik looks so badass in that pose Really like the alternate timeline idea as well, with Zelda as the main protagonist instead of Link.

Thank you. I'm glad to hear that my alternate timeline isn't too far-fetchedΒ
