I made a magic chart for my different magic using characters using my meta-lore of magic
First look on my meta-lore: Magichi guys One thing to know about me and my characters would be that I am semi-addicted to make up new worlds for my characters so I've been thinking about how I can connect all the dots in one big lore making it all fit together Well, I got inspired to give it another shot after brainstorming contest ideas with you guys so here's a WIP about the magical system and the origin of the world and its magic in my meta lore ^V^ Disclaimer: this is as mentioned only a WIP so I may change things around later. Also this lore is meant to bring together my around 20 different worlds and lores into one - among those the most developed so far are the lore of the youkai, ylvastian wolves (and werewolves in general), the hatasi, the Circadian and Tiana. The focus in this draft is mostly however be on Ansel's story about the reincarnation of the characters from the Arthurnian myth 1000 years after the death of Arthur. The lore about magic in form of 'the sight' (born of magic) and 'the gift' (born with magic) however are universal for all lores. Now without further ado here's my meta-lore magic system Origin of the universe, the worlds and magicCosmosAt the beginning there was only one creature, Cosmos, the mightiest of all for they were all. Their breath was the magic of the universe. From it they created the stars, the galaxies and every atom which would become the building rocks of life. Yet Cosmos themselves had no desire to rule so they created the Herders of Order, creatures whose mission was to create and cherish life in their own corner of the endless universe.The herders are often misunderstood to be the almighty creator in their specific worlds since nobody has seen or will get to see Cosmos. Yet it is said that if somebody - believing or not - feels an unexplainable connection to the universe itself they are feeling and breathing Cosmos.Herders of Order and the Fairy KingThere is an uncountable amount of Herders of Order in the universe just as the universe itself is uncountable. There is the Great Master, the father to the seven elf maidens of Alfensiev (the lore of the ylvastian wolves and the ralaques), there is the siblings Jehev/God and Enyia (the lore of ayins) and there are the six gods of the Circadian (lore of the champions of Circadian).One of said Herders of Order is the lord of our world (lore of Ansel and the fairies). Nobody knows his true name for it is said that those who wish to speak it will die and become one with the stars. He has been called many names although among the children of men he is often referred to as simply the Fairy King, his closest disciples and first children being the fairies.The Fairy King blessed the fairies with the breath of Cosmos making them sensible to the magic airs around them. They were humble and treated the lands with respect and care. Later the Fairy King would create the species of men yet unlike his first folk the men grew greedy and violent, killing each other and the fairies for power and magic. The Fairy King separated the fairies and men from each other to avoid bloodshed leaving only few gateways between their lands.One of such gateways were the lake of Avalon and the island of apples of the same name guarded by the immortal maiden of the name of Nimue. Another popular name of the guardian became the lady of the lake.While fairies remained children of magic the Fairy King punished the men taking away their abilities to store and bend the breath of Cosmos. Only a few who are yet born with the blessing of the Fairy King either by having the sight or having the gift of magic. Those men are said to have been foretold a great future at the beginning of days thereby found pure at heart although mistakes have been made and dark mages have been and will be born yet before the end of time.Magicsystem In this world not all magical beings have the power to bend and store the magic. One might say there is a difference between being born OF magic and being born WITH magic.The sight; born of magicCreatures born of magic are able to feel and sometimes even see the magical particles of the breath of Cosmos, yet they are not always able to manipulate it. Having a feel for the magic around you is called having ‘the sight’ not to be confused with being a seer. A seer or prophet is a being with a strong connection to magic, so strong in fact that they are not only able to feel and see the magic of the present but also the magic of the past and future. These magics will come to the seer in the form of prophecies, memories or dreams showing the world as it is, was and may become.Fairies and other magical beings are all blessed with the sight yet only few humans are born with this ability. Nobody knows why some are born with the sight while others are not.Kissed by a fairyA story goes that a group of men travelled to lake Avalon. There they bowed down crying their sorrows and regrets of the past getting the interest of Nimue the lady of the lake. A young mother with her dying child begged the lady to save her son. Nimue took pity on the young one and kissed his forehead, healing him from all wounds. The kiss left a mark on the child, a pale green lock in his otherwise brown hair. When the child grew up he showed to have extraordinary powers of sight making him the first human in centuries with this ability.This story has inspired the saying that a child was kissed by a fairy if an offspring is born with unusual physical or verbal features. Physical features include among others multicoloured eye- and haircolour, birthmarks, scars and webbed feet. Verbal features include among others loss of speech, stuttering or a limited, disorganised vocabulary. It is worth to mention not all children born with these features have the sight while some children without the features have.The gift; born with magicCreatures born with magic have the ability to manipulate the breath of Cosmos by pulling from one of five storages of energy to do their bidding. This is sometimes called having the gift of magic or simply having the gift. The five storages are the outer world, the inner world, the spirits, nature and the objects of power. Most mages have only one source of power, the most powerful having two or three. While none of the five storages are said to be better than the other, over time a hierarchy has been formed among the human mages.Outerstored magic or demonic magicMagic stored in the outer world is said to be the lowest and easiest of the five types of magic to learn. The mage will take energy from the world around them to perform their desires. For simple demands the energy will be tapped from the air creating a shortage of breath for a second while the mage performs the spell. Yet when performing complex, draining or life threatening spells the magic has to be taken from the living beings around the mage leaving flora and fauna to die. Outerstored magic is often called demonic magic since demonic creatures are known to use this magic type.Magic stored in magical objects or materialistic magicSome artefacts have been known to store and radiate magical abilities. A mage of the so-called materialistic magic are able to channel this energy within the objects making it their own. The materialistic magic is seen as the second lowest since taking away the magical objects the mage is not able to channel and focus the energy around them. Magical objects may include wands, talisman and weapons such as the avalo melekaii also called the lightsaber. Some materialistic mages may be able to manipulate the energies for only one magic object, while others may be able to manipulate the energies from all magical objects in their possession.Magic stored in nature or elemental magicTaking magic from nature is called elemental magic. Elemental magic is found both to be at the same time simple and extremely complex making it the third lowest but also third highest ranking of the magic abilities. A simple spell can be made by pushing the elements to do something they were already planning to do like a branch snapping or a wind blowing. It takes a strong willed mage to make a river change its course or a tree grow on metal.Some mages might only be able to tap into storages of a specific nature element such as water or earth while others have the ability to shift between all the elements.Magic stored with the spirits or spiritual magicA mage may be strongly connected to the spirits around them giving them the ability to share the magical abilities with the spirits. A connection can be made both by bonding with a single spirit becoming a host for said spirit and by having an overall likability among the spirits tempting them to stick around and do the bidding of the mage. Spiritual mages are often non threatening and are known to have a strong love for their inheritage and their ancestors. Shamans, priests, spirit guides and spirit dancers are basically always spiritual mages. Healers may be spiritual mages as well yet it is less common.Magic stored within yourself or core magicThe last form of magical storage is the one found within the individual soul. This is called innerstored magic or core magic since it comes from the core of the mage. This is said to be the highest ranking and the most rare of the magical storage abilities. A core mage although is only as strong as their soul so to perform the most impressive spells a mage must be well fed, healthy and clear of mind. Trying to create a complex spell while famished, weak or otherwise incapitated you risk killing your magical storage and thereby your soul, later on your body.

Ajay uses mostly innner sourced magic or core magic. His magic comes from within himself. Since Ajay is of an older, rare species of magical creatures he has two sources of magic the other being materialistic magic or magic menifested in magical objects. This magic is sourced in his talisman making him look human (he is a centaur creature so the silouette in the background is his real form). His magic is golden and shows around his hand and the talisman and it is in use.
