Description
A scene from one of my Moonplanet stories.The Stymphalian birds, from the neighbouring planet, decide to attack Moonplanet (the orange planet) through space, because their own planet has run out of resources.

This looks lovely Mene, love the shading on the Stymphalian bird, and the silhouettes on the background. Also, nice idea to overlay it with a NASA photo!

At first I tried to think of how to paint space with watercolours. While I liked the texture of the blueish space I painted, it didn't look enough like space yet. I guess I'd need acrylic paints for that, because then you can paint light colours over dark colours! Then I wouldn't have had to paint around the white silhouettes either.
So that's why I got the idea to just add it digitally (yay for layers).
