Description FINALLY after nearly two months of planning (and nearly 13 years of designing, design changes, etc), sketching, and drawing, the United States (2) is finished.

At 1,190ft in length, she is the epitome of what a modern streamlined superliner should be, post pandemic of course.

Passengers will find vast public spaces, amazing cuisine, and unrivaled firsts in the cruise industry.

To start, she will be entirely fireproofed. All the liners furnishings, carpeting, bed linens, bath linens, etc will be made from fire resistant materials.

To save weight, the liners hull will be made of specially reinforced steel and a high grade, strengthened, aluminum superstructure (in keeping with the materials used aboard her namesake SS United States) which also includes both funnels. Her interiors will be made of special honeycomb material, further reducing overall weight, and all furniture will be made of aluminum.

An industry first will be the incorporation of a “top to bottom” center atrium, located midships. The vast space will extend through the height of the superliner, which will be topped with a transparent dome to permit natural sunlight to enter the ship all the way down to Main Deck where passengers will be greeted by a modern Art Deco furnished an decorated lobby.

Like her namesake, she will also feature an enclosed Promenade Deck. But, rather than the enclosed Promenade running the entire length, it will be from the forward Observation Lounge to the area below the second stack. From there, going aft on Promenade Deck will be the large luxury suites.

Located at the stern of the ship is the two deck high lounge. This will feature greenery aboard the ship such as shrubbery and trees, as well as a indoor waterfall to bring the space to life and bring people to nature on the high seas. She has 6 other lounges aboard, throughout her superstructure and within the hull.

The ship will also have three swimming pools, one located on the aft decks, the other two will be located within the hull inside the vessel.

Her machinery spaces will be split, as on the SS United States, however her propeller and rudder arrangement will be vastly different. I have chosen a more Iowa Class/ Montana Class Battleship arrangement. United States will have dual rudders and four propellers, the outer shafts will be protected by bossings rather than being exposed such as on the battleships.

The United States will also have four CRV55 rescue vessels aboard. They will be primarily used as ship to shore tenders, two being on the port side, and two on the starboard side behind retractable steel doors within the hull.

I would like to thank Adam Hurst, Alexandre Deblois, David Meadows, and Stephen Payne for their input and advice as the drawing and design progressed.

Let the 3d model begin!
