Description

In AuTalkz, there was a character who appeared maybe once or twice named "Ryan"; he was a red panda, and was nonverbal on the spectrum.

I drew this the other day while trying to calm down from a meltdown, and drawing toddler characters helps with that (prolly due to toddlers being typically more innocent by nature, and that though their tantrums are different, toddlers also have tantrums).

The other day was very stressful for me due to inconsiderate neighbors who played their music so loudly that it caused me to have a meltdown (the base frequency unable to be filtered out by noise-cancelling headphones). While this is not the first time they've done this (as they have an outdoor sound system and are obviously too stupid to figure out how to play their music at a normal volume), and not the first time it's sent me into a meltdown (or a shutdown), it's one of the first times they played aforementioned music for seven hours.

I even saw a cop come out at one point...not that they turned it down too much after that, unfortunately.

I'm considering writing them a letter about it (as my dad refuses to talk to them, and I'm not great with verbal communication) because I'm not the only one on the block with autism, and this can't keep happening.

It's exhausting having my entire day (and sometimes the next day) ruined because of them.

They want to have a good time, fine; I don't want to deny them that. However, their good time needs to stay on their property and not send me into a mental health crisis.

Why are people so freaking inconsiderate? Ungh.

But anyway, that's the incident in a nutshell. When they finally turned their blaring music off, I was finally able to listen to something calming while I doodled and sketched on the tablet. This is one of the drawings to come of that, and I liked it enough to color it in today.

To be honest, I'm actually liking how the eyes came out and might use that as my style (especially with the tablet).

I am still drawing otherwise, but I don't usually upload them here to DA much anymore. Typically, I put them on Patreon ; mostly because the past few have been completely new original characters which I've never uploaded anywhere else and I don't want them stolen before I have a chance to use them. I'd like to have faith in people, but...folks make it difficult. So, any characters I've already put here (especially the AuTalkz ones, which are covered under an actual Copyright) I don't mind uploading.

This one is also on Patreon, with a larger version (and without the watermark) available for patrons...same old, basically.
