It's cute, but a little bit unsetting at the same time. It may be because of the dim light and the way this girl looks. I like how you posed her, how you express her disgust with her whole body as well as with face - frowning, covered with hair and buried in a mascot as though the girl was a crabby little child. Yeah, I think that's exactly what I find so disturbing: the dissonance between her adolescent looks and childish behaviour and surrounding - including a monster taken straight from a fairytale book.
Your monster is just as fluffy and 'clumsy' as it takes to make him look funny and harmless, but monstrous enough to feel uneasy around him. The contrast in the design between him and the girl perfectly emphasises the relationship they seem to find themselves in, and the color scheme you used just adds to it.
Lovely picture! It gives one so much to think about.
