On the subject of pirates, what are your opinions on piracy? Are they lost sales, in your book? Is it justified if getting the game in X country is very difficult, unreasonably expensive, and/or unobtainable (E.G. For the longest time, Earthbound)? Just wondering about these things from other points of view.

Ohhh my goodness is that a hidden skull on her torso? The belt forms the teeth, the cloth under her chest has something of a nose shape, and of course the breasts look a lot like eyes... Very clever. Her face is certainly sinister, I love it. Not like any other artwork I've seen of her!

I really, really like this version of Risky.
I'm especially fond of the green eyes and the mid-short hair.
I'm not that fond of the pants going down at the crotch, but the jeans themselves fir and the outfit as a whole is great. It feels like a much more natural thing for a pirate to wear, and the skull face is more subtle and a bit creepier.
The whole design tells her as a genuinely bad person, rather than the mischievous and jolly feel her regular look gives off. This one allows for her to still be silly, funny, and snarky if she wants to, but doesn't give off that affable kind of personality where you think she might be easily pushed aside by another villain (That sort of soft look that Dr. Eggman and Bowser have). I think the driving force for that is the face, but the outfit complements it well. She feels like a more competent pirate, treading the fine line between the fun villain and the loathed villain.
Gotta say my favorite part is the tooth-belt, though. I was never too fond of the way the top of her pants formed the jaw of the skull, but this version is perfect.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic design. Even if it's just a throwaway and we never see it in a real Shantae game, it still needs to be appreciated.
