What a lovely coincidence I just finished watching the news in which they are now releasing 900 of these spiders and then I find this moments later. A very beautiful picture of a raft spider or dolomedes fimbriatus as it is known in latin.

That is a BEAUTIFUL spider, and a very good shot. What sort of spider? The legs and the six eyes make me think of recluses, but the markings are off...is it a member of that family, though?

Okay...And now I realize it's a scandinavian spider, I realize it's probably not from the same family.

I like it but... The small depth of field is bugging me so it could of been half a centimeter bigger or so.
