oh right! Im sorry i should have mentioned that. The commissioner gave me a ref photo for the pose they wanted. If you want a proof, heres a screenshot:

I didnt searched the image on google, thats my mistake. I should have put a word of credit in my description. Thanks for letting me know. And thanks for giving me the link to the picture though the artist is not mentioned there so it doesnt really helps this way but i'll mention anyway.

I'm glad you wish to give credit (been looking for the artist for a couple hours but it seems the internet is determined to orphan this artwork), but that's not entirely what I meant.  You drew the picture, but you didn't design it.  In this case the original isn't so much a reference as it is a master copy for this one.  The other artist and your client designed it.

When you use another piece of art as inspiration it should be just that, inspiration, not a copy with different characters.  I think you're a promising artist and it's a waste of your talent.  Copying in and of itself isn't bad, you can learn a lot from it, but copying other people's work for money can get messy, and depending on where you live it's illegal.  Even if no one ever comes after you legally this tends to rub other artists the wrong way.  (Because we'er all complicated)

I know that this picture is what your client wanted and that you wanted to make them happy but copying work is the issue.  Part of what makes you an artist is your skill in design.  I think it would've been better to see your "spin" on the same pose rather than the same composition with the same pose.
