Snake Out! My own lil tribute to a the character from a game series tt has kept me in suspense since 1998, The Legendary Solid Snake. Tried to give this piece a lil more 'substance' and 'history' than my normal 'action' kinda poses n all. Woulda liked to make this one as spiffy as I could, but alas, time's not on my side. 120608: Snake's final mission is finally here..."Some Legends are meant to die"

I've just got into Metal Gear, so excuse me but I have to comment on this epic piece of work.
This does a great job of showing the history of Snake. I like the red trail connecting the three pictures of him. The background takes this into a whole new level of awesome, though. It looks traditionally Japanese but also "Cold War" at the same time somehow. The detail is just awesome. Lastly, it's neat how the lineart is Shinkawa style but the shading is yours. You NAILED the lineart style, and this skill in adapting styles is part of why I didn't think your art was legit at first. 
This is one of my 3 favorite deviations on this site. Well done, sir.

Shinkawa's style varies depending on whether he's illustrating something in detail or just making cool drawings of stuff... the linework here looks very much like his illustration style to me.

You know until the very day most fans ( including me ) love the first MGS on PS1 , second to come is MGS 3 .
I love the way you should the evolution of the character and the movment in it . Very impressive.
