I think these cybermen were scaryier than any of the latest ones...I think it was something to do with the cloth...it made them look incredibly scary. It's funny because they were so cheaply made. XD

I agree, this version were cheaply made (with cellotape holding the 'handle bars' in place!!) but they still look much creepier than the 'modern' Cybermen!

I think these were probably my fave version - you can still see the human parts. They turned into robots to all intents and purposes after this.

If you get the opportunity, listen to Big Finish's Spare Parts. It's a brilliant cyberman Origin story, and nothing like you'd expect.

Funnily enough, they almost did! It was the starting point for Age of Steel, where Trigger creates the Cybusmen. They went totally away from the original story, but Marc Platt still gets an on-screen credit. His story is MUCH better than what we ended up with though

I must say... this is by far my favorite Cyberman design and seeing this picture makes me hope beyond hope that the rumors of the Mondasian Cybermen making a return, are true....

I wasn't aware of that rumour, it'd be great if they brought these guys back..... don't like the current Cybermen much, they look too much like toy action figures.
