Description

Mirina, the first amazon queen, from Anne Fortier's The Lost Sisterhood.
Mirina start her epic saga as a libyan huntress that lost her mother and home, she becames a moon goddess priestress until a greek atack to her temple, when her priestress sisters are raped and abducted. So Mirina goes to find her sisters and in the way she knows Páris, the prince of Troy and she gets involved in the story that would lead to the Trojan War legend. After becames princess of Troy, she finally leads her friends as a queen amazon.

This art is she in her moon goddess priestress outfit. As the other one, there is no accurate, because is really rare any information about the ancient libyan clothes, specially on the Bronze Age. I used a pre-raphaelite painting as main reference to make this outfit. In her hand, she is holding a Tanit amulet. Tanit is a berber version of Astart, and a moon goddess, and besides the book doesn't name the goddess, I believe that's the deity she and her sisters priestress worshiped.

The book is just amazing!!! I really recomend!
